In the eighth year of Tianbao (749), Cen Can went to the Western Regions for the first time and served as the secretary of the shogunate of Gao Xianzhi, our envoy to Anxi. He bid farewell to his wife in Chang 'an and pranced on a long journey. On the way to his post, the poet met someone who entered Beijing, and immediately talked and asked him to take a message to his family. The simple description revealed the poet's deep homesickness. The language of the whole poem is simple, but concise, profound, cordial and touching, and naturally deeply rooted in people's hearts.
