The theory of "Tian Li" founded by Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi occupies an important position in the history of China's ancient thoughts, and has had an important and far-reaching influence on ancient Chinese political thoughts and philosophical thoughts. It was highly respected by later feudal dynasties and gradually evolved into the dominant ideology in the late feudal society of China for nearly a thousand years. For example, in the 13th year of Jiading, Song Ningzong (1220), Cheng Hao was named "Pure Duke" and Cheng Yi was named "Gong Zheng". In the first year of Zong Chunyou (124 1), he was born in posthumous title, Cheng Hao, and Yiyang in posthumous title, Cheng Yi. Cheng Yi was the "Luo Gong" in the 6th year of Jingtai, Ming Daizong (1455), and ordered Yan Zi (i.e. Yan Yuan) as an example to build a two-way temple. The regulation is better than Queli, with more than 60 front and back temples. The eulogy praised the Bidong Temple for "clarifying orthodoxy and promoting gentleness." In the twenty-five years of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, Cheng Cheng became a saint, ranking above Confucius and other Confucian scholars in Han and Tang Dynasties. Empathy for things is obviously a kind of "quiet" and "idle" state of mind, as if everything in nature is also "idle" and "quiet". Blue sky and white clouds are reflected in the green water and blue waves because of "leisure", and the gurgling spring water flows because of the quietness of trees. " The Spring Sound Quietly Comes can be literally translated as "Spring Sound Quietly Comes", which is the reverse thinking of "Yingong Mountain is more secluded". It is certainly pleasant for Cheng Hao to look at the shadow of clouds on the water and listen to the sound of spring water flowing in the forest, which is different from the laity's pursuit of fame and fortune and entanglement in affairs.
Finally, Lian expressed his philosophy of life: "Everything is unreasonable, but every good thing saves money and has company."
