William Butler Yeats (1June 86513 ~1June 5438+1October 28, 939), also known as "Ye Zhi" and "Yates", was an Irish poet, playwright, essayist, famous mystic and Irish Renaissance. Influenced by romanticism, aestheticism, mysticism, symbolism and metaphysical poetry, Ye Zhi's poetry has formed its own unique style.
Ye Zhi's art represents the epitome of English poetry's transition from tradition to modernity. Ye Zhi's early works have a gorgeous romantic style and are good at creating a fantastic atmosphere. 1893' s collection of essays "Dusk in Celtic" belongs to this style. However, after entering the undoubted era, under the influence of modernist poet Pound and others, Ye Zhi's creative style has undergone drastic changes, which is closer to modernism.
Character experience
Ye Zhi was born in Sandmont, not far from Dublin. He is the son of a portrait painter. His childhood was spent with his parents, and his grandfather's real estate business was in sligo County. Ye Zhi studied painting in his early years, was a young member of London artists and writers' group, and paid attention to regular yellow books. He wrote Mossada (1886) and a poetic drama Usin's Wandering (1899).
He wrote four other works before returning to Ireland in 1896. His father "john butler Ye Zhi" is a descendant of jervis Ye Zhi, a linen merchant. This businessman died in 17 12, and his grandson Benjamin married Mary Butler, the daughter of a noble family in kildare. John Ye Zhi was studying law when he got married, but he soon dropped out of school to study portrait painting.
