Ge Mai, formerly known as Chu Fujun, was born in Baoquanling Farm, Luobei County, Heilongjiang Province. 1967. 1985 was admitted to the Chinese Department of Peking University. 1989 After graduation, he was assigned to work in China Literature magazine.
