A trip to Europe (XIII) Swan Castle, Germany

After leaving Liechtenstein, we went to the small German town of Fusen, and prepared to visit the famous German High Swan Castle and New Swan Castle the next day.

Fu Sen, a small town with a population of only10.5 million, is located on the lake Fuergen in front of the Alps at the junction of Germany and Austria. It is an ancient city with a history of about 2000 years, which comes from ancient Rome and is located on an important ancient trade route in Europe. This medieval and Renaissance shopping center is famous for its violin and harp making skills. The Leahy River runs through the city, with high mountains and canyons, misty clouds, high mountains and dense forests, tall and straight pine forests and exquisite and colorful towns, which constitute a typical Bavarian exquisite picture scroll. There are famous tourist attractions in the urban area of the town, such as Saint-Mans Monastery and King's Museum of Bavaria. The famous Swan Castle and more than 20 other tourist attractions are also near the town of Fu Sen.

The Fantasia Hotel we booked is a 2-star hotel, which was converted from an elegant villa in the early 20th century. Although it is a 2-star hotel, it is not worse than those 4-and 5-star hotels in terms of rooms and environment. The hotel is small, warm and comfortable, and its rooms, shower room, front porch, garden, breakfast and service are highly praised by tourists (even reaching 4.5 stars). The hotel is only 50 meters away from the center of the old city and only 100 meters away from Fu Sen Railway Station. Convenient transportation, you can see the opposite St. Mang Temple from the hotel room. It is only a few minutes' drive from the old and new Swan Castle.

Pack your bags and let's go out and find dinner. Unfortunately, it suddenly began to rain heavily, and the pouring rain made the car poop-poop. I had to drive around the town for two blocks and found a four-star hotel called Hirsch Hotel, where there was a parking space and I could run into the hotel restaurant without watering. Louis Bode Restaurant is decorated simply and elegantly, and there are many guests dining here. We ordered steak, ribs and other typical German dinners as well as German beer. The hotel's polite and efficient service, good color, good smell and affordable dishes left a good impression on us. I don't know why, as soon as I entered Germany, I vaguely gave birth to a sense of quality, order, efficiency, safety and trust, as if everything would be all right, so don't worry.

After supper, the rain stopped. Our two grandchildren, who have been running all day, want to go shopping with us and go back to the hotel to play Ipad with their father. We walked around Reichenstrbe Street, which is called the town scenery. Colorful buildings make it look like a fairy tale world, and the surrounding ancient churches, monasteries, fountains and statues of the ancient city guarding the sacred Magnus all reveal the heavy sense of history of the town.

Some people say that the real magic of Germany cannot be separated from the ancient and brilliant Bavaria; The real glory of Bavaria lies in its beautiful and charming towns, the most famous of which is probably Forcen. Today, this beautiful town has become a snow city with hot springs and a resort for winter sports.

In order to avoid the rush of people, we came to the ticket center of Swan Castle Scenic Area in the early morning of June 18. At this time, tourists from all over the world gather here, especially group tourists. Fortunately, the German management is rigorous and efficient. Although there are many people, it is orderly. After waiting less than 20 minutes, they have bought tickets to visit two swan castles. There are 14 exhibition rooms in the old Swan Castle. Due to the small area of the castle, in order to ensure the quality of the tour, the number of tourists entering the castle is limited every time, and each ticket also stipulates the time to enter the castle. During the waiting period, you can visit outdoor landscapes such as castle gardens. The ancient Swan Castle was built on the hill. You can walk up the mountain or take a classical carriage. It is a rare experience to ride a carriage driven by Germany through dense forests and enjoy the scenery along the way. The carriage driven by German old people runs smoothly and the price is not expensive.

The High Swan Castle (SchlossHohenschwangau in German) is also called Old Swan Castle or Hornschwangau Castle. I call it the Old Swan Castle. It is a castle, located in the village of Hornschwangor, which is under the jurisdiction of the town of schwangor in Bavaria, Germany. It faces Neuschwanstein Castle across the mountain and is adjacent to the town of Fu Sen. Built in 1836.

The castle of High Swan Castle has always belonged to its builder, the knight of Stone, and his descendants from the 2nd century to the 6th century. In the16th century, there was no successor to the stone knight, and the castle was on the verge of collapse, which was severely damaged in the Napoleonic Wars from 1800 to 1809. Due to the superior geographical location of the castle, the then Crown Prince Maximilian, later the father of King Maximilian II and King Ludwig II, bought this ruin and converted it from 1832 to 1836, which was mainly used as a hunting palace. Many famous artists in The Romantic Period participated in the reconstruction and left many precious paintings in the castle. From the castle, we can see the alpine lake at the foot of the mountain and the picturesque Bavarian fields. Not far from Schwansee, Swan Lake is a quiet lake described in the famous ballet Swan Lake. The lake is full of water lilies, where white swans inhabit and breed, and Ludwig II is permanently brought into the fairy tale world and never wakes up.

Ludwig II, the "king of fairy tales" in Bavaria, spent his fantastic time here. As a prince, he enjoys meticulous care. The murals in the castle truly record the life of the old king, queen and prince in the castle. A fairy tale about swans, princes and magic and the romantic style of the high swan castle had a great influence on the character of King Ludwig II.

Amazingly, all the furniture, ornaments, utensils and cultural relics in the castle have complied with the wishes of the last deceased, and they have been preserved so well, which reflects the German cultural spirit and contractual spirit from one side. Compared with the luxury castles owned by French princes and nobles, the High Swan Castle is smaller and simpler, which may also be the cultural difference between Germany and France!

After getting off High Swan Castle, we took a bus to the parking spot near Marian Bridge, which spans two mountains. We first visited Marian Bridge. This is a swaying bridge. When people walk on it, the whole bridge will shake violently. However, standing in the middle of the bridge is the best place to shoot Neuschwanstein Castle, where the classic silhouette of Neuschwanstein Castle was shot.

There is no doubt that Neuschwanstein Castle has become a business card of German tourism and the most famous castle in Germany.

Neuschwanstein Castle is located at the top of the Alps. It is bigger, more spectacular and more fairy-tale than the old Swan Castle. It is the masterpiece of Ludwig II. Neuschwanstein Castle was built in 1869. It was designed according to the king's dream. He wants to build it where Snow White lives. Theater painters and stage decorators painted countless dreamy swan paintings for the castle. He dreamed of the life of the French Sun King in the17th century. The melancholy king loves poetry and painting, beautiful as a woman, and worships the heroic opera of musician Wagner; His pursuit of Princess Cece failed, and the Austrian princess ruined her engagement and never got married again.

The construction of Neuschwanstein Castle used up all the king's savings, and the project is far from over. 1On June 2nd, 886, the 4/kloc-0-year-old king was declared insane and could not continue to govern. The king was forcibly taken out of the castle where he had only lived for a week. The next day, the king and his doctor drowned in Lake Berg. The cause of his death became a mystery. The royal family seized all the files about his illness and death, and the sarcophagus in which he was placed was never allowed to open.

The tall towers are all spiral stairs, which can reach all floors. Influenced by his childhood, Ludwig II was fascinated by the legend of knights. After stopping in Wartburg, Thuringia, he decided to recreate the legend of knights and other scenes in his castle. Neuschwanstein Castle was built from 1869, but it was not finished when Ludwig II died after 17 years. Three months after the death of the king, the government opened it as a museum. At present, all the parts built inside the castle can be visited, including the throne room, king's bedroom, living room, dressing room, grand concert hall, artificial caves and so on. The decoration of the castle is expensive. But compared with Gao Swan Castle, I feel that Neuschwanstein Castle looks cold and depressing, far less compact, light and warm than Gao Swan Castle.

After visiting two swan castles, we drove to Shaer Mountain. Austria and Hungary are my dream places. I look forward to revisiting my old places and missing my old friends.
