Tang Dynasty: Liu Yuxi
All the smart people who work together come to ask the patients. Add a stove to cook the sparrow tongue and sprinkle water to clean the dragon beard meat. ?
To make a banana metaphor, you must have bamboo as a support. The medicine king has a panacea, but he can beg for a pill.
Brief introduction of the poet:
Liu Yuxi (772-842) was born in Luoyang (now Henan). In the ninth year of Zhenyuan (793), he joined Liu Zongyuan as a scholar. At that time, he was also a scholar of macro-writing, and officially supervised the empire. During the Yongzheng period, he participated in the Wang Innovation Movement and was demoted to Lianzhou Secretariat, and later to Langzhou Sima. He was recommended by Pei Du and served as a guest of the Prince in his later years. Therefore, later generations called it "Liu Bin". Liu Yuxi's poems are outstanding, and Bai Juyi praised him as a "poet". The content mostly reflects current events and people's livelihood. Poetry inherits the excellent literary heritage of predecessors, absorbs the essence of folk literature and forms its own unique creative style. Forty volumes of Liu Mengde's collected works and twelve volumes of poetry were compiled into The Whole Tang Poetry.
Analysis of works:
Liu Yuxi, a poet, fell ill when he was demoted, which is tantamount to "the house leaks and it rains all night." At this time, one or two foreign experts came to visit him, which was undoubtedly a great comfort to his dull spirit.
"Working sages get together to ask patients." It's really unbearable. The sick man like the author also shocked all the sages and came all the way to visit.
"Add a stove to cook the sparrow tongue and sprinkle water to clean the dragon beard." The guests came, and the first one was to make tea. In the Tang Dynasty, people no longer used boiled water to make tea, but used teapots to make tea. In the Tang Dynasty, people used cake tea and occasionally loose tea. Liu Yuxi's hospitality is of course good tea. When cooked, it looks like a "sparrow tongue". When the guests come, please not only make tea, but also clean the seats with clean water. "Gracilaria lemaneiformis" is a mat made of China Gracilaria lemaneiformis.
"You are a banana metaphor. You must use bamboo to support it." This is a pun. First, I am weak, as empty as a banana, and I can't walk without crutches. The second is to praise these Zen guests, who are physically and mentally empty, as beautiful as bananas, holding bamboo poles and traveling around the world. It's a blessing to the gods.
"The medicine king has a panacea, but he can ask for a pill." Sakyamuni Buddha is not only the king of France, but also the king of medicine. He manages all the troubles and diseases of all sentient beings well. At the same time, Buddhism is also a "medicine king". Liu Yuxi was overjoyed at the arrival of these foreign "Zen guests". They are all "doctors", so it is natural for the author, a "patient", to beg them for a medicine to cure the disease.
