The reform and innovation of poetry by the four masters in the early Tang Dynasty
The "four outstanding figures" in the early Tang Dynasty refer to Yang Jiong, Lu and Luo. They are "a teenager is talented" and "an official is small and famous" (Wen Yiduo's Four Great Poets). Their hearts are full of fantasy and passion for fame and fortune, and they don't want to be surpassed by others. They were dissatisfied with the phenomenon of "competing for carving" and "losing their backbone and being in high spirits" in the early Tang Dynasty, so in their own creation, this spirit of consciously changing the style of writing made their poems full of positive and enterprising spirit, which officially opened the prelude of Tang poetry.
