The poem "Song of Thatched Cottage Broken by the Autumn Wind" was written by Du Fu after he fled to Chengdu to escape the Anshi Rebellion. The poem tells the story of Du Fu who was filled with emotion after his thatched cottage was blown down by the autumn wind. Downloaded this poem. Although his house was blown down by the strong wind, he still wrote at the end of the poem, "There are tens of millions of mansions, and the great shelter will make all the poor people in the world happy." Although he was very poor, he still cared about other people in the world.
I admire Du Fu very much. Although he is very poor and lives in a shabby hut, he is still worried about the poorer students. I think my school cannot be blown down no matter how strong the wind blows. Spacious and bright classrooms, neat tables and chairs, advanced learning equipment, heating in winter and air conditioning in summer. This is much better than the drafty thatched house built by Du Fu himself. How happy I am!
However, I saw from TV that there are still some children in poor areas. Their classrooms are damp and dim. The walls are made of earth and are not strong. If there is an earthquake, the house may collapse. There are no heating facilities. You have to bring your own heating brazier to school in winter. If you are not careful, you will get burned. This kind of house may be similar to Du Fu's thatched house!
So, I want to think about others like Du Fu. At the charity sale held by the school last semester, I auctioned off my collection of Olympic badges, and all the money was donated to children in impoverished mountainous areas. Maybe the money we donated is not enough to build a building as beautiful as our school, but I sincerely hope that children across the country can grow up in the same good learning environment.
I want to study hard and become an architect when I grow up. I will build many schools so that primary schools across the country will have beautiful, strong and bright classrooms so that all students can study happily in them!
