Creation background
This poem was written in the winter of the first year of Xiaozong Xichun in the Southern Song Dynasty (1 174). At that time, Xin Qiji was serving as a senator in the appeasement department of Jiangdong, and his friend went to Lin 'an. The poet wrote this poem to bid farewell to his friend.
