"Shui Tiao Ge Tou: When will the bright moon come" is a poem written by Su Shi, a great writer in the Song Dynasty. This poem was written in the Mid-Autumn Festival (1076), the ninth year of Xining, Shenzong of the Song Dynasty, when the author was in Mizhou (now Zhucheng, Shandong).
The poem rises from the moon, and is based on the relationship between Su Che and his brother Su Che who have not seen each other for seven years. It starts imagining and thinking around the Mid-Autumn Moon, and incorporates the joys and sorrows of the world into the philosophical pursuit of life in the universe. Among them, it expresses the poet's longing for his relatives and best wishes, and also expresses his broad-minded and detached mind and optimistic scenery when he is frustrated in his official career.
