Songxi No.1 Middle School in Fujian Province, referred to as Songxi No.1 Middle School for short, is located in the former site of Zhanlu Academy where Zhu Xi gave lectures in the Southern Song Dynasty. The school was founded in 1928, formerly known as Songxi County Zhanlu Junior High School, renamed Songxi Junior High School in 1951, and established a high school in 1958, named Songxi No.1 Middle School in Fujian Province; In 1993, it was recognized as a "second-class senior high school in Fujian Province". In June 26, the junior middle school was stripped off and transformed into a senior middle school. In November 213, the school passed the municipal evaluation of "Fujian First-class Standard High School". On May 17, 216, the school was recognized as a first-class high school in Fujian Province by the Fujian Provincial Department of Education.
