A Brief Introduction of Poet Pi Rixiu
Pi Rixiu, the word escape less, later changed to attack the United States. Born in Tianmen, Hubei Province in about 838 AD. A famous poet and writer in the late Tang Dynasty befriended Lu Guimeng, who was also a writer and agronomist in the late Tang Dynasty, and was called "Pilu" by the world. Pi Rixiu once lived in Lumen Mountain, so he named himself Lumen Zi. In the biography of Pi Rixiu, a gifted scholar in the Tang Dynasty, he pointed out: "* * * Pi Rixiu is addicted to alcohol and obsessed with poetry. Mr. posthumous title is drunk and calls himself an alcoholic."
Pi Rixiu is also a child born in a poor family. So I have been determined to be famous since I was a child, and I have traveled around. In 866, he went to Beijing to take the Jinshi exam, but unfortunately he failed. So he left Beijing for Shouzhou. During his stay in Shouzhou this year, Pi Rixiu also compiled his own poems into a collection of poems, named Leather.
In 867 AD, Pi Rixiu went to Beijing to take the Jinshi exam again, and finally got his wish. After that, he worked in Suzhou secretariat, and then went to Beijing as Dr. Zuo Lang and Dr. Tai Chang. In 875 ad, he was also the deputy ambassador of piling. After that, the Huang Chao Uprising Army went to Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and Pi Rixiu joined the Uprising Army as a bachelor of Hanlin. After the failure of the Huang Chao Uprising Army, Pi Rixiu fell.
There are many stories about Pi Rixiu's death. In 300 Tang Poems, it is said that Huang Chao suspected that Pi Rixiu's poems were ironic, so he killed Pi Rixiu. It is also said that Pi Rixiu was killed by Tang Jun after he participated in defeating the Huang Chao Uprising Army. Lu You's Notes on the Old Learning Temple said that Pi Rixiu died in the land of wuyue, and he never joined the Huang Chao Uprising Army. These are just a few famous sayings. As for how Pi Rixiu died, we still can't confirm it.
Pi Rixiu's Poems
Pi Rixiu was a poet in the late Tang Dynasty, and his poems were probably nothing in the heyday of the Tang Dynasty. However, Pi Rixiu's poetic style is unique, which can be regarded as a new poetic style. At present, many historians in China have studied Pi Rixiu's date of birth and death and the cause of death. However, the study of Pi Rixiu's poems is still relatively weak.
Pi Rixiu's poems played a connecting role in the Tang and Song Dynasties. Pi Rixiu's early poems inherited the styles of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi in the middle Tang Dynasty, paying attention to realism and describing the sufferings of civilians. Later, he tended to Jia Dao and Yao He's style, and began to focus on describing the psychology of avoiding the world and being indifferent. It is quite different from Wen and Li Shangyin's poems which prevailed in the late Tang Dynasty, but it is somewhat similar to the poems in the late Northern Song Dynasty.
In fact, Pi Rixiu's poems are related to his own life experience and professional experience. In his early works, Pi Rixiu often wrote some poems about his family. For example, the sixth book, Food Cluster, Wenmu: The skins are few and cheap, but as for food, it's just a matter of enjoying yourself ... It makes people born in the house of Zhong Ding, and the door of the paste beam is old and strange, and it may not be the emperor and the prince.
Pi Rixiu lived in the darkest period of the late Tang Dynasty, when the country was destroyed and the Five Dynasties War lasted for more than 100 years. Being at the bottom of society, Pi Rixiu naturally understands the sufferings of the people. Therefore, Pi Rixiu's poems also contain realistic thoughts and pay attention to describing people's livelihood and current affairs. On the official career, Pi Rixiu failed to reach his younger brother for the first time, and only for the second time. But afterwards, I learned that it was because the surname "Pi" was rare that I was admitted. This makes Pi Rixiu disheartened. This also had a great influence on the change of his later poetic style.
Nostalgia Appreciation of Pi Rixiu's Bian River
In 605 AD, Yang Di ordered his men to dig the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. This Grand Canal is the longest ancient canal in China and even in the world, and it has a great influence on the trade between the north and the south of China. However, digging the Grand Canal also paid a high price. In the process of excavation, a lot of manpower and material resources were consumed, so the judgments of future generations were different. Pi Rixiu's "Looking Back on the Past by the Bian River" mainly expressed his views on the advantages and disadvantages of digging the Grand Canal.
The original poem "Looking Back on the Past by the Bianhe River": I died in the Sui Dynasty as this river, and thousands of miles came from Tongbai. If there is no water temple dragon boat, there are not many theories about * * *. The first sentence of the poem says that the Sui Dynasty died in the Grand Canal, and the second sentence says that the Grand Canal is still in use today, especially the word "Lai", which expresses that the Canal has become an indispensable thing in people's lives and gives people a feeling of praise. This inconsistent statement is the "inversion method" commonly used by poets in the Tang Dynasty to praise history and cherish the memory of the past.
The third sentence of the poem "Dragon Boat in Water Temple" shows that Pi Rixiu's criticism and accusation against Yang Di is very obvious. The fourth sentence compares Dayu's achievements in water control with Yang Di's canal construction, which shows that Yang Di's crime has ended. Because Dayu personally led the people of the whole country to enter the house three times without entering, he was praised by the world. Yang Di ordered the construction of the Grand Canal only for his own selfish desires, which is incomparable to Dayu.
At that time, Pi Rixiu lived in an era when the Tang Dynasty was about to perish, which was very similar to that of Yang Di. But at that time, people in the Tang Dynasty seemed to have forgotten the lesson of the demise of the Sui Dynasty. It was meaningful for Pi Rixiu to write such a poem at this time.
