Summer Fruit Dream is a book published by Chongqing Publishing Group in July 2007 by Tan Xudong. This book was painted by a well-known domestic painter Sunny Day. It draws lessons from the modeling and color characteristics of folk paintings and children's paintings, and accurately expresses the youthful childhood life of children with images, which blends with poetry and complements each other.
Tan Xudong, a native of Anren County, Hunan Province, is a doctor of modern and contemporary literature in China, majoring in children's literature in Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University.
He is now a postdoctoral fellow in literature and art at China Communication University (majoring in children's poetics), an associate professor in the Chinese Department of north china university of technology, a member of the Chinese Writers Association, and one of the most active cutting-edge literary critics and children's literary scholars in China today.
He has published four books of children's poetry, such as Songs of Mothers and Children, Observations on Contemporary New Poetry, and five works of literary theory criticism, such as redrawing the territory of China's children's literature, and edited and translated more than 100 children's poems, such as 100 children's poems that touched children, and Bird's Snack Bar. He has won many awards for children's books, education and academics in Beijing and the whole country.
