Mu ying Li Shang Zuo
The thread in the loving mother's hand,
Make clothes for her wayward son.
She sewed it carefully, mended it thoroughly,
Afraid that the delay would make him come home late.
But how much love does an inch of grass have,
Make three spring scenery.
Meng Jiao (75 1 ~ 8 14) was a savage from Wu Kang (now Deqing, Zhejiang) in the Tang Dynasty. He took many imperial examinations in his early years, but failed. He entered the imperial examination at the age of 46 and wrote the poem "Horseshoe disease in spring breeze, flowers in Chang 'an in a day". It took another four years to become a small Liyang captain, and Yuanhe worked as a land and water officer in Henan in his early years.
People once called Meng Jiao and Han Yu "Han Meng Poetry School", mainly because they were curious about ancient times and wrote more ancient poems. Meng Jiao's five-character ancient style, the language is carved but not gorgeous, and he is good at accommodating the exotic customs of Gu Zhuo. Compared with Dali and Zhenyuan poets, he is closer to the character of Han and Wei Dynasties. In terms of content, the themes of his poems are also broader. The main purpose of Meng Shi's poems is to write about the resentment of middle and lower literati about poverty and hardship, which is determined by his life experiences such as repeated trials and tribulations, hard career and the loss of children in middle age. However, through his personal fate, he can penetrate into a broader social life, or expose the ugly phenomenon in interpersonal relationships in society, or sharply reveal the inequality between the rich and the poor. For example, Singing for the People in Cold Regions describes the abnormal phenomenon of weavers "how to weave a piece of Jiangsu and Anhui and wear a blue silk dress", which is another profound reflection on the sufferings of the people after Du Fu.
Of course, Meng Jiao's most famous poem is about the love between mother and child, the wandering son, the thread in a loving mother's hand, making clothes for her wayward son's body. Before leaving, I had a stitch for fear that my son would come back late and his clothes would be damaged. However, an inch of long grass is a little sentimental, and it has won three spring rays. The title of Ode to a Wanderer is self-evident: "Welcome your mother to work". Poetry is the author's work when he was an official in Liyang. The poet's career was frustrated, and he suffered from human warmth and sorrow all his life. Therefore, he feels the value of his family more and more. Poetry is simple, natural, cordial and touching, which can touch the heartstrings of every reader, make people cry and arouse the cordial association and deep thinking of children all over the world.
