He never gave up and was ready to express his ambition with poetry. Someone dissuaded him and said, "Lang is still humble, so don't despise the king." Bao Zhao was furious: "How can you count those who have lost their talents for thousands of years?" ! Can a gentleman accumulate wisdom so that Alan can't tell the difference and follow the birds all day? "After finally appreciated, was appointed assistant minister of Linchuan countries. In the 21st year of Yuanjia (444), after Liu Yiqing died of illness, he neglected his duty and lived in seclusion at home for some time. Later, he served as assistant minister of Liuwangjun in Shixing.
Bao Zhao mainly composed poems, and there are 204 existing poems. There are 18 pieces of Quasi-Difficult to Go, which show the desire to make contributions to the country, the dissatisfaction with the society, the pain of incompetence, the resentment of serving the country and the sorrow of disillusionment, and truly reflect the living conditions of the poor scholars at that time. Several poems describing the frontier war and garrison life are the seeds of frontier poems in Tang Dynasty.
Bao Zhao's works play an important role in the history of China's poetry development. His main achievement is poetry creation, especially Yuefu poetry. He is known as a poet who introduced Cao, Liu Zhiji and Li. His parallel prose is also good.
The artistic style is handsome and bold, fantastic and sharp, which directly inherits the Jian 'an tradition and has great influence on later generations, such as Li Bai, Cen Can, Gao Shi and Du Fu. In artistic form, he made great efforts to study and create Yuefu poems, with more than 80 poems, including three words, five words, seven words and miscellaneous words. Five-character poems are exquisite, round and smooth, rich in content and full of feelings. Seven-character poems change rhyme sentence by sentence, which can be changed freely, broadening the creative road of seven-character poems. His Yuefu poems break through the traditional Yuefu rhythm, are extremely creative, profound and implicit in thought, fresh and profound in artistic conception, large in language capacity, changeable in rhythm, colorful and fluent in words, incisive and lyrical, and have the characteristics of folk songs. Shen Deqian said: "Mingyuan Yuefu, like the chisel of five mountains, is unprecedented in the world. After being too white, it often works "(Volume 11 of Ancient Poetry Source). Wucheng Fu expresses homesickness with the prosperity of Guangling in Han Dynasty and the desolation at present, and is regarded as one of the representative works of lyric small Fu in Six Dynasties. Prose basically belongs to parallel prose. "Climbing the Leian and My Sister's Book" combines lyrical arguments, with ups and downs in style, gorgeous rhetoric and long prose.
The Collected Works of Bao Zhao, a total of ten volumes, was compiled by Yu Yan at the behest of Prince Xiao Changmao of Wen Hui during the reign of Southern Qi Yongming. Among the existing Bao Zhaoji, Mao Mingfu's school-based Bao Shiji is earlier than the Si Series.
