How to write Yu Hua's article "Going Out at Eighteen" into a short composition? Thank you for your answers.

My understanding: it doesn't matter whether the driver and the apple robber are accomplices. Mo Yan said that Yu Hua was the first sober dreamer in China's contemporary literary world. The journey of "I" in Going Out at Eighteen is full of unknowns, just like a dream. I never knew if there was a hotel ahead, but I really showed up when I asked for a car. After getting on the bus, the driver who rudely told me to "fuck off" suddenly became friendly, and "I" and he even became "good friends".

I think he wrote the driver's "smile" to show the indifference, cruelty and darkest side of people in society. Only when 18-year-old travels for the first time, the "I" who has nothing to do with the world will be full of sense of justice and rush up at the most dangerous time, instead of "not hearing" the apple being robbed like a driver and laughing when "I" is beaten.

I think the focus of the novel should be the comparison between the innocence of 18-year-old "I" and the cruelty of people, and the experience and feelings of 18-year-old "I" exploring the world for the first time.
