Water resources in Quanzhou

Quanzhou coastal zone is short of water, but few people know that Quanzhou is also a region with abundant precipitation. There are four water systems flowing through Quanzhou, our province: one is Dazhangxi, the main river in Dehua, which belongs to Minjiang River system; Second, Fuqian Stream and Tornado Stream in the west of Anxi flow into Jiulong River in Zhangzhou; Third, several streams from Hongshan Township in Luojiang District and the east foot of Dehua fossil Niu Shan flow into Mulan River in Putian City, with a small scope; Fourth, Jinjiang River system, the main tributaries of which are Dongxi and Xixi, flows through Yongchun, Anxi, Nan 'an, Licheng, Fengze and other counties (cities, districts) and flows into Quanzhou Bay. Among the four major river systems, Jinjiang River system has the largest annual runoff, and the basin area is the most prosperous and densely populated area in Quanzhou, accounting for more than half of the city's land area, which is the most valuable for protection, development and utilization. ?

Quanzhou is located in the south subtropical monsoon climate, and its annual precipitation is rainy (the average annual precipitation in coastal areas is about 1 200mm, and that in An, Yong and Deda is about 1 800mm). However, the temporal and historical distribution of annual precipitation is very uneven, with more precipitation from March to September each year, accounting for 70-80% of the whole year, and droughts and floods often occur between years. 2. The total length of Dongxi blocked by Shanmei Reservoir is 120km, the rainwater collection area is 19 17km2, and the average runoff is 14km? 0 million cubic meters, its catchment area is much smaller than Xixi (Xixi length145km, rainwater collection area 31kloc-0/km2, annual runoff 36? 500 million cubic meters), but Xixi has no reservoir, and a lot of runoff flows away after every rainfall. Every year, the amount of water passing through the Jinjizha North-South Canal only accounts for about 1/5 of the runoff of Jinjiang River system, and another 4/5 is not utilized, which is the main reason for Quanzhou's abundant rainfall and water shortage. If there is a large reservoir in Xixi, it can store four times as much water as Shanmei Reservoir, which will play an important role in ensuring the drought and waterlogging prevention, domestic water and industrial water in our city.
