Xinmi city is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province and managed by Zhengzhou City. It is located in the hinterland of the Central Plains, southwest of Zhengzhou City, with the Yellow River in the north and Songshan Mountain in the west, connecting Zhengzhou Bianluo and Xupingnan. With a total area of 100 1 km2, it governs 13 townships (towns), 4 sub-district offices, 1 scenic area management committee, 304 administrative villages and 52 neighborhood committees.
Xinmi city history and culture
Xinmi is a city with a thousand-year heritage and rich heritage. It is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization, named as "the hometown of Huang Xi culture in China" and "the birthplace of Huang Qi culture". Ten thousand years ago, China people living in the Central Plains gathered in the ancient land to hunt and thrive. Eight thousand years ago, Fuxi and Nu Wa changed their surnames here, got married, and started their six-animal life, engraved with the imprint of Chinese civilization.
Five thousand years ago, Xuanyuan, the ancestor of mankind, practiced martial arts and gave lectures here, studied and created the Eight Arrays, established the capital and the country, unified China, and wrote a new chapter in Chinese civilization; Three thousand years ago, China's earliest collection of poems, The Book of Songs, Zheng Feng and Feng Jue were born here. In 206 BC, Mi County was established, and in 1994, the county was withdrawn to set up a city. There are 9 national cultural relics protection units in China.
