The Moon Song on Mount Emei is a poem by Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty. This is a poem written by Li Baichu when he left Sichuan, which is connected with the landscape of his hometown. The poet saw the night scene on the boat: a half-moon hung high above Mount Emei, and the moon was reflected in the Pingqiang River. The whole poem uses five place names, showing a travel map of the Shu River crossing mountains, moons and rivers for thousands of miles. The language is natural and fluent, the conception is novel and delicate, and the artistic conception is beautiful, which fully shows the artistic talent of young Li Bai.
The original text is as follows:
In the autumn of the first half of Mount Emei, the Pingqiang River reflected.
In the evening, Qingxi went to the Three Gorges, but the four gentlemen did not see Yuzhou.
The translation is as follows:
Half a moon hangs high in front of Mount Emei, and the clear water surface of Pingqiang River reflects the moon shadow.
Set out by boat at night, leave Qingxi and go straight to the Three Gorges. I miss you, but I met you late. I can only reluctantly go to Yuzhou along the river.
Extended data:
This poem was written by Li Baichu when he left Shu, and it was written in the autumn of the 12th year of Kaiyuan (724). At that time, Li Bai wrote this poem when he left Zhongshu for the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Emei Mountain is the mountain in the middle of Shu and the name of Shu. Li Bai is a native of Shu, so Mount Emei is also the hometown month.
Five place names are used in the poem in succession, which are ingenious and leave no trace. The poet passes through Emei Mountain-Pingqiang River-Qingxi-Three Gorges-Yuzhou in turn, and the poetic scene gradually unfolds a map of the Shu River for readers. Apart from the "Emei Mountain Moon", there is almost no more specific description of the scenery in the poem; Except for the word "four kings", there is no lyric.
However, the artistic image of "Emei Mountain Moon" runs through the whole poetic realm and becomes a catalyst for poetry. It has rich implications: the mountains and the moon accompany Wan Li, which can be seen every night, making the feeling of "missing you" deeper and deeper. The bright moon is approachable and unattainable, which is a symbol of missing friends. Where there is a bright moon singing, where there is a feeling of missing friends in the river, which is intoxicating.
Using five place names in a row can make a trip in an exquisite place, which is both heroic and homesick. The language flows naturally, just like "clear water produces hibiscus, natural carving"
