Common poetic character categories and terms:
①An image that does not admire power, is bold, unrestrained, and arrogant. Such as Li Bai. "An Neng bows down to the powerful and makes me unhappy" shows his indifference to wealth and disdain for the powerful, and also reflects his arrogant, bold and conceited character.
②The image of worrying about the world, the country and the people. Such as Du Fu. "There are tens of thousands of vast buildings, which shelter all the poor people in the world. They are as peaceful as the mountains that remain unmoved by wind and rain." The poet does not just stay in his personal sorrow, but can also refer to himself and others, which shows his concern for the country and the people.
③The image of a hermit who loves the mountains and rivers and retreats to the countryside. Such as Tao Yuanming. "Picking chrysanthemums under the eastern fence, leisurely seeing the Nanshan Mountain" shows the leisurely life of seclusion, showing the poet's dislike of officialdom and his love for the countryside; such as Wang Wei. "Dwelling in the Mountains in the Twilight of Autumn" expresses the love for the landscape through the description of the scene of fresh rain on empty mountains in late autumn.
④The image of unrecognized talents and unfulfilled ambitions. Such as Chen Ziang. "Dengyouzhou Taige" was written without seeing the sage king before, and without seeing the wise master afterward. Thinking of the vast and infinite world, I couldn't help but shed tears of sadness. It created an image of an underappreciated intellectual who had an empty heart to serve the country and the people but could not put his talents to use.
⑤The image of being determined to serve the country, generous and cynical. Many poems by Lu You and Xin Qiji reflect their emotions of serving the country loyally and not being reused, which are vivid images. Such as "Showing Children", "A Storm and Rainstorm on November 4th", and "Broken Array".
⑥The image of friends saying goodbye and missing their hometown. For example, Li Bai's "Gift to Wang Lun" and Wang Wei's "Remembering the Shandong Brothers on September 9th"
⑦The image of dedicating oneself to the fortress and opposing the conquest. For example, Wang Han's "Liangzhou Ci" and Wang Changling's "Out of the Fortress" express their loyalty to serve the country and devote themselves to the fortress. Du Fu's "War Chariots" empathizes with the people's suffering and opposes war.
⑧The image of love and hate. For example, Liu Yong's "Yulin Ling" describes the infinite sadness when parting with the woman he loves and the lingering affection of lovesickness after parting, creating an artistic image of love and hate.
