Master Huang

The meaning of this poem is: foundation soil can become a high wall, and accumulated virtue can stand on thick soil.

Source: Tang Li Bai's "The Songs of the Harmony Pavilion"

Original poem:

If the king covers the sky, he will be lucky.

After the porch, the minions often go to Mount Tai first, like the heart of an arm.

Small white and red wings In Yi Wu, fish and water in Liu Ge are the same.

Earthly branches can become walls, and accumulated virtues are thick.

Translation:

The great monarch is as straightforward as the sky, and he is everywhere in the southeast and northwest. The assistant minister of the Yellow Emperor was appointed as the common people under the rule of Jishou of Mount Tai, such as the heart command arm, pointing to the place where he wanted to go. Qi Huangong regards Guan Zhong as his wing, while Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang are like a duck to water. Foundation soil can form a high wall, and merit can stand on thick soil.

Extended data:

Through the allusions of loyal ministers and kings in ancient times, Harmony Songs and Jundao Songs expressed the feelings of longing for appreciation and unfulfilled ambition. The whole poem is divided into three layers. At the beginning of the first two sentences, it is said that the emperor is responsible for raising and educating the people, such as heaven and earth.

Four three-purpose allusions in the poem: the Yellow Emperor ruled the world, with Chang Xian and Tai Shan Ji as "minions"; Qi Huangong became a bully, and Guan Zhong was a wing; Liu Bei attacked western Shu and became a "friend of fish and water" with Zhuge Liang. Finally, the second is to sum up the sentence and point out the main idea of the poem: soil helps the wall, people help the king, and accumulated goodness can make virtue. I hope I can cultivate my morality and help the king.
