Zhong Rong commented on Zuo Si's "Ode to an Epic" and said: "The literary canon is based on resentment, which is quite accurate and ironic." "Canon" means elegance, citing historical events; "Resentment" means injustice, venting dissatisfaction with reality with historical events; "Fine-cut" refers to the use of ancient irony today; "The purpose of irony" means that poetry has a distinct irony spirit and criticizes reality. The poem "Ode to History" is profound in content, vigorous in brushwork, full of emotion, magnificent, straightforward and simple in language, and similar in style to Jian 'an poets, which Zhong Rong called "Zuo Si Feng".
Zuo Si (250? - 305? )
Poets in the Western Jin Dynasty. The words are too strong. Linzi (now Zibo) was born. Born in a Confucian family. Ugly and awkward, it is not easy to make friends. Around the eighth year of Emperor Wu of Jin Dynasty (272), his sister Juicy Zuo was elected to the palace, and her family moved to Luoyang, where she became an official secretary and was listed as a "twenty-four friend" of the literati group at that time. Moving the capital in the name of "Sandu Fu", Luoyang was expensive for a while. In the last years of Yuankang, he resigned and retired to his hometown, and devoted himself to Confucian classics for a long time. Died in Jizhou.
There are 14 poems today. There are eight poems about epic poems, one of which is not dedicated to a person, but a complex historical fact, which integrates the ancient and the modern and satirizes the present by borrowing the ancient. Singing history, cherishing the mind, or expressing the grief and indignation of talented people (second, seventh and eighth), or expressing the life ambition of making contributions to the country (first and third), or attacking the door system to show contempt for the gentry (fourth, fifth and sixth). Pay attention to the deep expression of inner feelings, vent the grievances of the poor, and echo the sadness that ambition is hard to pay. Zhong Rong said that "the literary canon is based on resentment, which is quite particular and leads to irony" ("Poetry"). He thinks this is a set of satirical political lyrics. Although historical allusions are quoted, they are natural and appropriate, and there are few traces of carving, which is different from the richness of Luji. The charm is profound and powerful, and it is different from Pan Yuezhi's elegance. Zhong Rong called his style "Zuo Si Feng", which was magnificent, vigorous and lofty. He directly inherited Jian 'an's style, set a precedent for later generations, had a great influence on Tao Yuanming, and represented the highest achievement of poetry creation in the Western Jin Dynasty. There are two articles. Sandu Fu became an important work in the later period because of its grand system, extensive events and rich literary talent. The old biography of the work consists of 5 volumes, most of which are scattered. I was included in Three Kingdoms, Qin, Han and Six Dynasties, All Ancient Three Generations and Kai's Zuo Taichong Collection.
