An ancient poem with boundless grass on the plain

Say goodbye to the ancient grassland

Author Du Mu, a poet in Tang Dynasty.

The endless grass on the plain comes and goes with the seasons.

Wildfire can't burn it out, but the spring breeze can revive it.

Sweet they are pressed on the old highway, a green and barren city,

Oh, my friend's prince, you left again, and I heard them sigh behind you.

The following is my personal understanding of this poem.

On the vast grassland, the grass grows luxuriantly. Every autumn and winter, grass turns yellow. When it dies, it comes to spring, but it is full of vitality. It grows luxuriantly, and ruthless wildfires can't burn out. When the spring breeze blows next year, the grass will grow vigorously again, and the flowers and plants will grow just right, covering the road from a distance! Grass is fragile, and the end of the road is the beginning of a friend's journey. I sent my good friend away again. The lush and vibrant grass represents my deep friendship with my friends.

The whole poem is neat and smooth, with catchy words and easy to understand. The poem in front is written in grass, and the grass behind is green. The deep friendship between me and my friends in Gu Ni matches well, and there is no contradiction in reading.
