Wang Wei's "Bird Sound Stream" is based on the stable and unified prosperous Tang society when Kaiyuan (713-741) traveled to the south of the Yangtze River. This poem is the first of a series of poems entitled Five Topics of Huangfuyue Yunxi written by Wang Wei's good friend Huangfuyue, who lives in Yunxi Mountain Villa. It is the work of a poet who lives in Wuxi (Ruoshuixi) in the southeast of Shaoxing County.
Wang Wei left Chang 'an and walked around for more than ten years. It was not until Zhang Jiuling became prime minister that Wang Weicai was recalled to Chang 'an.
