Original text and appreciation of Zhongnan Bieye’s ancient poem

The original text of "Zhongnan Farewell"

He was quite good at Taoism in his middle age, and in his later years he came home to Nanshan.

When things come and go, they go alone, and they know nothing about success.

Walk to a water-poor place and sit down to watch the clouds rise.

I happened to visit Lin Sou, and we talked and laughed for a long time.

Appreciation of "Zhongnan Farewell"

This poem is intended to express the leisure and joy of living in seclusion in Zhongnan Mountain, and the feeling of being at peace with the situation. The first couplet describes that after middle age, he disliked the secular world and embraced Buddhism. The second couplet describes the poet's interest and pleasure in appreciating the beautiful scenery. The third couplet expresses a relaxed mood, walking freely and freely. The last couplet further expresses the leisurely and contented mood. When he met "Lin Sou" "by chance", he started "talking and laughing" without any delay, and wrote about the poet's leisurely nature and transcendental style. The couplets are both purely natural and implicitly philosophical. It is not easy to condense it to this point.
