Who is the founder of Changji poetry?

The founder of Changji style poetry is Li He, a poet in the middle Tang Dynasty. Song Dynasty's Cang Shi Style lists 24 different styles of Tang poetry, which is one of them. Li He's poetic style is unique in the middle Tang Dynasty. This has two aspects: first, as far as the system is concerned, it inherits the styles of Qu Yuan's Lisao and Qi Liang's Literati Yuefu. Du Mu's Preface to Li Changji's Songs and Poems says: "Miao people of Gaisao".

Second, as far as artistic expression is concerned, Wang Siren's Interpretation of Long Valley Poems says: "Li Changji is a teacher, so it is more unexpected." Du Mu used a series of metaphors to describe the strangeness and richness in Li He's poems, such as the combination of clouds and smoke, the distance of water, the angel of spring, the bright and clean autumn, the graceful array of horses, the carving of jars and jars, the timely beauty of flowers, the temple of a deserted country, the throwing of whales and the strange ghosts.

Li He's Poetic Achievements

In his poetry creation, most of his poems are free and unrestrained, eclectic Yuefu and ancient poems, which reflect real life and expose the fatuity and decay of the ruling group, eunuch monopoly and separatist regime.

For example, Dance Song and Official Street Drum mocked the vanity of feudal rulers who indulged in immortals and pursued immortality. Qin Gong's Poems and Glory reveal the extravagant life of the rich and powerful; "General Lu's Military Song" and "Roar at the Tiger" condemned the eunuchs' code troops for their mistakes in the country and the arbitrary oppression of the buffer region. It fully shows the indignation of feudal rule and the grief and indignation of political frustration.
