Nehemiah 7-8; Psalm 26

After listening to Nehemiah 7-8, we can understand

In July, the Israelites lived in their own cities. At that time, they gathered as one person in the wide place in front of the water gate, and asked Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law that the Lord had given to Israel through Moses. On the first day of the seventh month, Ezra the priest brought the book of the law before the congregation of men and women who could understand it. (Nehemiah 8:1-2 NIV)

The Jews who returned to Jerusalem from the exile to rebuild the city walls turned their hearts to God together. Those Jews who can understand God's words after listening to them show that their hearts turn back to God, and at the same time they also get the ability to receive God's wisdom from God.

In addition, God explained the meaning of God's law to the Jews through priests and Levites who were familiar with the word of God, like Ezra, so that the people could understand it.

These Jews really understand the word of God, which is evident in their behavior. First of all, they cried when they heard all the words in the law book. It can be seen that the word of God has pierced their hearts. Then they turned from sorrow to joy. Because god's word is also the power for us to get joy.

May God make us all people who can understand the word of God. Thank God!

Psalm 26

Because your lovingkindness is always before my eyes, I will walk according to your truth. (Psalm 26:3 NIV)

God loved us first, and his love changed our lives and attracted us to walk in his truth. Thank the Lord!

Moved Scripture: And he said to them, "Go and eat the fat ones and drink the sweet ones, and give them what you can't prepare, because today is the holy day of our Lord. Do not be sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. " (Nehemiah 8:1 NIV)
