What are the achievements of literati poetry in Han Dynasty?
The achievements of literati poetry in Han Dynasty were not high. Especially in the Western Han Dynasty, only Xiang Yu, Liu Bang and others' essays "Gaixia Song" and "Da Feng Song" were vivid and touching. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, influenced by the folk songs of five-character poems since the Western Han Dynasty, scholars gradually attached importance to the writing of five-character poems. A five-character poem "Ode to an Epic" by Ban Gu praises Ti Ying's salvation from his father, and it is the first five-character poem written by a scholar in history. Later, Zhang Heng, Xin Yannian and others rose one after another, or created their own works, or imitated Yuefu works, and five-character poems gradually developed. Compared with four-character poems, its syllables and vocabulary are relatively simple, so it can be said that it is "the most important word in literature and the taste of many works" (Zhong Rong's poems).
