Good morning. May 24th.

We don't expect God to satisfy us. We are satisfied because we seek God.

One of the great contradictions in people's hearts is that you seek satisfaction wholeheartedly, but you won't find it. People will never find material satisfaction. The heart can only find satisfaction from the giver of everything.

Seeing a creature as an object that can satisfy you is equivalent to seeing that creature as your savior.

If you seek God, rest in his presence and grace, and put yourself in his mighty hands, he will satisfy you, which nothing can give. You made it for him, and your heart was set up to worship him. Your peace lies in trusting him, and your stability comes from looking to his wisdom? Strength, kindness. Many things we think we need fail to satisfy us. All we need in life is him, and he is willing to be kind, stay with us, live in our hearts and help us.
