As for Wuxi in the north, Tingyuan in the west, Longquan in the south and Huangxitun in the east, there are more than 100 famous mountains, rivers and villages, with Huangxi as the most.

On the translation of You Huang Xi Ji;

North to Jin, west to Jian 'an, east to Wu, south to Chu-Yue border, there are hundreds of beautiful scenery, among which Yongzhou is the most beautiful. Within a hundred miles of Yongzhou Prefecture, there are hundreds of villages with beautiful mountains and rivers, with Wuxi in the north, the source of Xiangjiang River in the west, Longquan in the south and Huangxitun in the east, among which Huangxi has the most beautiful scenery.

You Huang Xi Ji was written in the eighth year of Yuanhe in Tang Xianzong (8 13). During the drought, the author accompanied Wei Zhongcheng, the secretariat of Yongzhou, to the Imperial Temple for rain. Liu Zongyuan was an atheist who begged for rain in the drought, but he didn't want to, but the secretariat "saw the move". As a subordinate, he could only "follow the crowd" and then wrote "Swimming the Yellow River".

Artistic features:

"You Huang Xi Ji" is less than 500 words, but it is very artistic. First of all, the author changes the perspective and the object is nuanced. The author is good at using various artistic techniques to describe the scenery from all angles on the basis of unity and harmony, so that the image is vivid and full, and the three-dimensional sense is strong. For example, the mountain is mainly static, and the author describes its dynamics in an ingenious way: "Two mountain walls stand tall, like a single branch of China, and the mountain rises and falls."

Water is generally dynamic, so the author never misses its dynamic beauty: "steady flow" and "loud sound of water"; It also accurately depicts its static beauty: "heavy and silent" and "slow water"; Or use the foil method to write water: "There are hundreds of fish, and then you come under the stone"; Or metaphorically write water: "Wear frost storage and come to Bai Hong." .

Secondly, the author embodies the word "travel" everywhere when writing travel notes, which is characterized by recording the mileage. For example, "Huangxi is 70 miles away from the state, and Dongtun travels 600 steps south to the Yellow Temple"; "above the yellow god, 80 steps out of the pool after uncovering water"; "Take a hundred steps south to Ertan"; "Nature is a few miles south" and "crossing a mile south": it reads like the author's own experience. Although the style of writing is ordinary, it has a unique flavor.
