Composition on the traditional culture of my hometown (1)
"New Year"
There are many traditional festivals in China, but the New Year is my favorite. Every New Year, Spring Festival couplets are posted, gongs and drums are played, lanterns are decorated, and the activities to see off the old and welcome the new are bustling, and everyone’s face is filled with festive joy. But do you know why there are these festive activities during the Chinese New Year? There is a wonderful myth and legend in it, let me tell you now!
Legend has it that in a secluded valley, there lives a monster called Nian. Every New Year’s night, the monster will attack a small village at the corner of the mountain. The villagers know that it will come. The monster locked the door tightly, but no matter what, Nian would come in, steal the villagers' things, and hurt people and animals. Everyone was extremely scared, but there was nothing they could do. Early in the morning of the next year, people packed their things and prepared to go to the city to celebrate the New Year and then come back. At this time, a fairy walked by and told the villagers that the New Year was afraid of red and noise. After hearing this, people quickly bought couplets and posted them on on the door. At night, Nian came again. When he saw the red color and heard the sound of gongs and drums, he was so frightened that he ran away. From then on, the village was peaceful. From then on, every household posted couplets and set off firecrackers every New Year. This custom continues to this day. The most interesting thing in the New Year is when my friends and I set off fireworks together. After the New Year's Eve dinner in the evening, I couldn't wait to rush out the door with the fireworks. As soon as I went out, I heard the cheers of the children. It turns out that a fireworks competition is being held in the small garden of Ercun! I only heard a few "bang, bang" sounds in the sky, and various fireworks bloomed in the sky. They were really different in shape and colorful. Some were like golden dragons rising into the sky, and some were like silver bullets. Chongyunxiao, there are still like unopened flower buds, happily blooming in the sky. When I saw such beautiful fireworks, I thought to myself: "My fireworks must be hundreds of thousands of times more beautiful than theirs." So, I quickly took out my own fireworks, lit them carefully, and fired them into the sky. I only heard a "pop" sound. The fireworks flew straight into the sky. At this time, I secretly thought in my heart: "Hey, hey," my fireworks must be more beautiful than yours. However, when I looked up at the sky, I was stunned. It turns out that this kind of fireworks is called "Peanut explosion", this firework flew into the sky like a peanut, but it ended with a "pop", which was not beautiful at all. What a huge disappointment. But in a blink of an eye, I melted into the joy of this festival. Looking at the sky decorated with these colorful fireworks, we all cheered and were so happy!
Celebrate the New Year, wear new clothes, and celebrate the New Year happily... We sing joyful songs to welcome the arrival of the New Year.

"Chinese Tea Culture"
Today, the sun is shining brightly, and we came to the tea farm with a happy mood visit.
Tea is a perennial evergreen plant with a long history. It is said that we are the first to use tea trees in China and are native to southwest my country. Current data shows that wild tea trees are found in 198 places in 10 provinces and autonomous regions across the country.
As soon as you walked into the tea factory, you saw neat rows of tea trees with densely packed tea leaves, some oval and some lanceolate. There are fine serrations on the edges of the tea leaves, and there are fluffy hairs on the backs of the young leaves. You can’t spot them without looking carefully! The seeds come in various shapes, some are like pumpkins, some are like gourds, and some are just like blooming lotus flowers.
Camellias bloom when they are free. The camellias we see today are white and mixed with yellow. "The white flowers are bright and simple, symbolizing the purity and selflessness of the camellia."
Don't think that only people have names, tea also has a name. Some are based on appearance, such as melon slices. Pearl tea. Eyebrow tea. Biluo tea. A hairpin. Bamboo leaves are green. Green peonies. Some are named after the famous mountains and rivers where tea is produced: Wanghai tea. Waterfall fairy tea and so on. Some are based on color and shape, such as: Quhao. Snow peaks. Silver cents. Others are picked according to the tea picking period, such as Mingqian tea. Tea before the rain. Spring tea, summer tea and autumn tea.
After listening to my explanation, you will have a deeper understanding of tea!

"Traditional Culture of Hometown"
During the Dragon Boat Festival on the fifth day of May, dragon boat racing and gongs and drums are the ancient customs. This traditional custom was handed down in memory of the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan's body sank into the Miluo River. People were afraid that the fish and shrimps in the river would eat him, so they beat gongs and drums and rowed dragon boats to scare away the fish and shrimps.
A long time ago during the Dragon Boat Festival, dragon boat racing started in our village. The lively dragon boat race is a traditional activity unique to our hometown. The lively dragon boat race has also been recognized by the city government and all walks of life. So our town was named "the hometown of dragon boats".
Look, the dragon boat race has started again. (m.taiks.com) I saw busy traffic on all the roads leading to the river. People from all directions rushed to the river like a tide. Suddenly, people on both sides of the river bank Crowds of people. The viewing platform was also filled with foreign guests and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao who came specially to watch the dragon boat racing.
The hour hand pointed to half past one. As the salute went off, four dragon boats filed down from the starting point. The riverbanks on both sides suddenly boiled with gongs, drums, firecrackers and cheers. Dragon boats, colorful flags and crowds form a gorgeous picture. You see, the drums of the boat wearing the red vest are getting louder and the whistles are getting louder. The radiators are calm and composed, waving their muscles and bulging their arms harder, rowing desperately towards the finish line. Not to be outdone, several other boats struggled to catch up with each other. In the end, the dragon boat wearing a red shirt was far ahead and became the leader of the group and won the first place.
In recent years, the dragon boat races in our village have been getting better and better and more and more lively. The environment on both sides of the river is very beautiful, with wide roads, beautiful parks, patches of green trees, pavilions and pavilions, green willows and red flowers, colorful everywhere, witnessing the development of my hometown. The dragon boat race not only boosts the economy of Huangyong Village, but also attracts many foreign businessmen to invest and build factories here, making the villagers' lives richer.
The dragon boat race is a healthy sports activity that exercises people’s spirit of unity, friendship, hard work and hard work. Dragon boat racing is also gradually emerging abroad! We also invited a dragon boat team from our town to participate in their dragon boat competition abroad. Good culture should be carried forward so that foreign countries will recognize our culture and understand China.
