Bi Xing "is a concept with rich meanings and many ambiguities. Mao Heng's so-called "Xing" in the Western Han Dynasty includes two situations. One meaning refers to the "initial" role. The Exegetical Biography of Mao Poetry says, "Xing, Qi also." It is the effect of emotion caused by objects. Objects and emotions are not necessarily related by content, but sometimes only by phonology. "Xing" in Mao Zhuan has another meaning, which refers to a complicated and obscure metaphor. Zhu Xi said in the Biography of Poems that "if you compare, you should compare it with other things" and "if you are interested, you should say other things first to arouse the words you are chanting." Explain the meaning of Bi Xing simply and accurately. "Bi" refers to the introduction of figurative objects through analogical association or anyway association, and "writing things to attach meaning"; "Xing" means "touching things to arouse feelings", and "other things" are the scenery described in poetry, and this kind of scenery must contain the feelings of the poet when touching things. "Xing" is a more subtle and euphemistic expression than "Bi".
The Book of Songs is the oldest collection of poems in China, and most of its works begin with the writing of Bi Xing. Among them, the poem "Nan Zhou Guanju" successfully uses the metaphor technique. This is a love poem. If you want to write about the "female" you think, you should start with the pheasant dove. The phrase "Guan Guan pheasant dove, in the river continent" is both fun and comparison. The pheasant dove is docile by nature and can be compared with a lady's demure. The pheasant dove is a common bird in the "river continent", which can remind people of the daughter who often comes to the river to collect pheasants; "Guan Guan" is the voice of the male and female singing in harmony, which can arouse the feeling of "gentleman" thinking about "Qiu" It can be seen that the rise of poetry itself has the functions of association, implication and symbol, which in itself brings a lot of space for the understanding of poetry.
