In my hometown of Qianxi, there is such a place that makes people forget to leave - Shuixi Park.
The predecessor of Shuixi Park, Guanyin Pavilion, was built in the Ming Dynasty. It suffered several military disasters, was destroyed by fires, and was repaired several times. The last restoration was in the early years of the Republic of China, and was followed by the county. Mr. Jiang Xi, Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary leader, restored it and opened it to tourists, attracting many visitors. Later, in the 27th year of the Republic of China (1938), facilities were added, the attractions were expanded, and the name was changed to "Shuixi Park". When was it built in the Ming Dynasty? The inscription is lost. Some people speculate based on the "Zhengde Broken Bell" still hanging in the "Broken Bell Pavilion" on the side of Guanyin Pavilion that it has been more than 500 years ago. Every year on the 19th day of the second lunar month, the 19th day of the sixth lunar month, and the 19th day of the ninth lunar month, devotees hold Guanyin meetings in the Guanyin Pavilion, where they burn incense and eat fasting meals. It’s so lively!
The current Shuixi Park is surrounded by mountains and rivers, elegant and beautiful, covering an area of ??60,000 square meters. In the garden, there is the tomb of the Yi heroine Luxiang in the Yuan Dynasty. The long history has accumulated in the garden, leaving behind the Guanyin Pavilion, the Zhengde Broken Bell, the Guanwen Pagoda, the Emperor Qianlong's Imperial Secretariat, the Wu Songliang Temple Monument during the Daoguang Period, Guanyin Pavilion Stele, Dongshan Temple Poetry Stele and other historical relics. The park has been continuously renovated, with new buildings such as the Triangular Pavilion, Qusi Pavilion, Mid-level Pavilion, Lotus Pond Stone Bridge, Fish Pond, and Rhododendron Pavilion. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, with vigorous ancient trees, it is quiet and elegant. "On moonlit nights in front of the flowers, distinguished people travel and chant among them." It is a tourist attraction where you can enjoy leisure and entertainment as well as observe history.
