Zhang Shi's Biography of Feng Tang" records: During the reign of Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty, Wei Shang was the prefect of Yunzhong, and he had meritorious service in resisting the Huns, only because he had more time to repay his merits. He reported six heads and was convicted and dismissed from his position. Later, Emperor Wen adopted Feng Tang's advice and sent Feng Tang to Yunzhong with Fujie to pardon Wei Shang.
