1. Folk songs come from life. There are many kinds of folk songs in northern Shaanxi, including more than 20 types such as Xintianyou, minor, labor songs and folk songs, among which Xintianyou is the most representative. Its rhythm is free and exciting, and the sky trip in northern Shaanxi sings a short story about the romance and troubles of parents and individuals. People stood on the hillside and shouted loudly. High and low are the unique rhythms of nature, one after another, which is very rhythmic, so the tune of Xintianyou is long, high and free. In the heavy and boring farming life, how many people's loneliness and sadness are relieved by one tour after another. Lyrics and songs composed and sung at will, accompanied by melodious songs, vent their long-accumulated feelings.
2. The lyrics of Xintianyou are generally two sentences and one paragraph, which rhymes before and after. The former sentence is used for teasing, and the latter sentence is lyrical and emotional. The two set each other off, which sounds sensational. Most of these folk songs are improvised. There are often overlapping words in the lyrics, such as "The blossoming of Shandandan is gorgeous", "You are the ball of my brother's life, shivering in your arms", as well as "monkey doll", "lamb lamb" and "treetop". In northern Shaanxi dialect, reduplication is only used when talking to children. Xintianyou applies this way of speaking to children to the lyrics, which is more intimate and expressive. In addition to overlapping words, there are descriptive words such as "clear and bright" and "red and bright", such as "clear canals and rivers around mountains and rivers, and iron cows running on terraced fields. Huang and Migu bowed their heads and red sorghum was drunk. " There are many similes, metaphors, rhymes and exaggerated expressions. Coupled with the simple and vivid language style in the mountains, the lyrics are the natural expression of people's true feelings everywhere. The lyrics of most folk songs are not as stubborn as the average lyricist. They all come with their mouths open, and their words are straightforward, sharp and overbearing, coupled with bold and high-pitched tunes, which fully embodies the true temperament of the people in northern Shaanxi.
