Generally speaking, Su Shi can be divided into two stages. In the previous stage, the discussion was less, the length was shorter and the language was refined; The latter stage is relatively more and longer, especially the bold poets such as Su and Xin.
In the words of the previous stage, it is a comment.
The main poets in this period (from the establishment of Song Dynasty to Su Shi) are Fan Zhongyan, Liu Yong, Yan Shu, Ouyang Xiu, Wang Anshi and Yan. Most of their ci works inherit the rhyme between flowers, tend to be graceful and gentle in style, and the themes involve feelings between men and women, hurting spring grievances, traveling and so on. And their forms are mainly Xiao Ling (Liu Yong started to create a large number of slow words alone), such as Ouyang Xiu's "Yulouchun": "Life is infatuated, and this resentment has nothing to do with romance." "St. Worry-Free": "The world is in trouble, once every ten years, life grows and grows like this"; Yan Shu's "Huanxisha": "I have always been young and limited, and I am easy to get lost when I leave", and "Qingpingle": "I am old when I am old, and life is nothing"; Shen Miao's Silver Lantern Collection: "You must believe the truth, and your feelings are sickly"; Qin Guan's Queqiao Fairy: "If the two feelings last for a long time, what can we talk about later?"
The latter stage, from Su Shi to the demise of the Southern Song Dynasty, was the most active stage of ci theory, and a large number of ci poets emerged, such as Su Shi, He Zhu, Zhang Jixian, Ye Mengde, Zhu Dunru, Xiang Ziyin, Zhang, Xin Qiji, Liu Kezhuang and Liu Chenweng. The main form of his ci works is slow words, and arguments also appear in these slow words, occupying a long space. There are also many words that are full-body discussion or discussion-oriented. Among them, the comments of the unrestrained writers represented by Su, Xin and Zhu are the most typical.
The arguments in Su Ci are mainly reflected in its slow words, which have the following formal characteristics:
(1) There are many discussions (there are 300 Su Ci poems, of which about 1/3 involves discussions);
(2) The length of the discussion is getting longer and longer (for example, his Biography of the Whistle includes Tao Yuanming's Word of Returning Books, with the word 186, which is generally discussed; Its text may also have the whole article or most commentators)
