There are only two short chapters in the whole poem, both of which start with the melody of "the decline, the decline, the Hu will not return". In the change of the number of words, the harmony of rhyme is never forgotten.
In the first chapter, "Gu" and "Lu" rhyme with the rhyme of "Yu" in Yin tone and "Duo" in Ru tone; in Chapter 2, "Gong" and "Zhong" rhyme with "Invasion" rhyme. These two sentences not only express the author's thoughts and feelings, but also rhyme harmoniously and have a neat word count, killing two birds with one stone. In just two chapters and a few sentences, the inhuman condition of the enslaved people and their full resentment towards the rulers are revealed.
