Stand for eternity, without any gestures of joy or sorrow" />

"If there is an afterlife, I would like to be a tree and stand for eternity without a sad posture..." Is this from San Mao or Jiang Yan?

This sentence comes from Sanmao's "Speak to Myself".

Original text:

Tell it to yourself

Author: Sanmao

If there is an afterlife, be a tree,

p>

Stand for eternity, without any gestures of joy or sorrow.

Half is peaceful in the dust, half is flying in the wind,

Half is covered with shade, and half is bathed in sunshine.

If there is an afterlife, I want to be a bird.

Fly across eternity without the trouble of getting lost.

There is flaming hope in the east, and a warm nest bed in the south.

Follow the setting sun to the west, and awaken the fragrance to the north.
