BEIJING, May 5 (Xinhua) According to the official Weibo of Shanghai Fire Bureau, two post-90s fire fighters in Shanghai were awarded gold medals for their dedication to national defense. Shanghai Public Security Bureau ratified them as producers of party member and China, and was awarded the "Shanghai Youth May 4th Medal" by the Communist Youth League Committee.
On the afternoon of May 1, a fire broke out in a high-rise residential building on Longwu Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai. In the process of fighting, two post-90s firefighters, Qian Lingyun and Liu Jie, fell from the 13 building due to flashover and hot wind and waves, and were sent to the hospital for rescue, but died heroically.
Qian Lingyun was born in 199 1 at the age of 23, and Liu Jie was born in 1994 at the age of 20. Both of them belong to Guan Gang Squadron of Shanghai Xuhui Fire Brigade. They joined the army on 20 12 and 12, with a rank of first class.
On May 4th, the Ministry of Public Security posthumously awarded two revolutionary martyrs and awarded them gold medals for their dedication to national defense. The Party Committee of the Municipal Public Security Bureau ratified Qian Lingyun and Liu Jie as party member, the producer of "China * * *", and the Communist Youth League Committee posthumously awarded the "Shanghai Youth May 4th Medal".
On the morning of 5th 10, the memorial service for two firefighters, Qian Lingyun and Liu Jie, who died heroically in the fire fighting of the "5. 1" high-rise residential building on Longwu Road was held in Longhua Funeral Home. Leaders of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Municipal Public Security Bureau and Municipal Fire Bureau, representatives of fire officers and soldiers, families of martyrs and representatives from all walks of life attended the memorial service.
