Huang Meihua picking originated earlier, it is said that it originated in the Tang and Song Dynasties and matured in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. According to the records of Huangmei County Records, as early as the Song Dynasty, Huangmei had very exquisite flower picking skills. In addition, 1957, in an ancient tomb excavated in Baoshan Village, Caishan Town, Huangmei County, "the epitaph was recorded as the forty-first year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 156 1), and the female corpse in the tomb had a flower-picking square scarf on her head." Based on the pattern analysis of The Scholars' Flower-picking Map, the organic pattern of Kuifeng is similar to that of bronze wares, and its group pattern is similar to that of Zhu paintings on lacquerware of Chu tombs unearthed in Jiangling 3000 years ago. At the same time, in a tomb excavated in the 26th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1687), the female corpse was covered with a domino flower square, which read, "The country is harmonious, the officials and people are safe, the wife is virtuous and the husband suffers little, and the son is filial and the father is lenient". The square towel for picking flowers unearthed in the above tombs is enough to prove that the folk craft of picking flowers from Huangmei was produced as early as Jiajing in Ming Dynasty, with a history of about 500 years.
The patterns of Huangmei picking flowers are often used to express emotions and freehand brushwork, and are also deeply influenced by regional culture. It is a kind of sustenance for people's yearning for a better life and a concentrated expression of decorative aesthetics. In addition to the commonly used auspicious patterns, the patterns used in Huangmei flower picking mainly have two connotations: narrative and metaphorical. Huangmei Opera is the birthplace of Huangmei Opera. Influenced by Huangmei Opera, there are some patterns reflecting Huangmei Opera in the local area, such as beheading at Yuanmen, wandering the top scholar, Shiro visiting his mother, Muxiazhai, seven women coming down to earth, and seven women sending their children. People simplify these well-known operas and pick them on the square towel, which is not only convenient for memory, but also plays the role of oral legend, which is also a unique way of missionary work in ancient society. At the same time, these operas also have an intangible educational effect on children's education. For example, Yuanmen beheaded the son and said that the northland Zongsheng invaded, and Zongbao was tied to Mu, and it was love at first sight. Marshal Yang Liulang was very angry.
