12-year-old children ask such questions, and Mr. Wang is obviously confused. Mr. Wang thought for a moment and replied, "Reading is the first ear." What the teacher means is that studying for the imperial examination is the first thing in life.
Wang Yangming disagrees with this answer. He said that the first thing in life is to be a saint. What is a saint? Make contributions, stand for the world, stand for the people, link the past with the future, and be a saint for the peace of the world.
Ambition is like a bright lamp, illuminating those dark and bumpy moments in Wang Yangming's growth. Later, he not only achieved the status of a master of psychology, but also set an example for future generations to learn.
