Which district is Qingdao May 4th Square in?

May 4th Square is located in Shinan District of Qingdao.

May 4th Square is divided into two parts, namely, the office building of the Municipal People's Government, the hidden fountain, the lattice fountain, the sculpture Wind in May and the 100-meter fountain at sea.

The iconic sculpture "Wind in May" embodies the patriotic tone and national strength against imperialism and feudalism in the May 4th Movement with its hovering wind and fiery modeling. It has become one of the landmark landscapes of Qingdao in the new century. Because it passes through the middle of the square along Donghai Road as soon as possible, the May Fourth Square is divided into two areas, and the north area is connected with the Qingdao Municipal People's Government and is the central square.

The north area of May 4th Square has a total area of 40,000 square meters, of which 30,000 square meters are evergreen lawns, surrounded by flower beds and topped with special-shaped polished stones. There is a hidden basin fountain with a diameter of 28 meters in the south, and the ground wall is made of South African red polished stone. There is a five-character poem "First Visit to Qingdao" written by Marshal Chen Yi 1954 when he arrived in Qingdao at the beginning of the year.
