The Garden of Eden is the paradise where Adam and Eve, the ancestors of mankind, first lived, as recorded in the Christian classic Bible. According to the Old Testament-Genesis, God created Adam, the ancestor of mankind, in his own image, and then created Eve from Adam's ribs, and placed the first couple in the Garden of Eden. The Bible records that the Garden of Eden is in the east, and four rivers flow out of the Garden of Eden, nourishing it. The four rivers are Euphrates, Tigris, Jixun and Bixun.
