Hou Zhengqing, named Kezhong and Mr. Genzhai, was born in Zhenji (now Zhengding County, Hebei Province). The year of birth and death is unknown. He was born between the third and ninth years of Emperor Taizong of the Yuan Dynasty and died in his nineties. He once lived in Bianliang and moved to central Zhejiang in Yuanzhong. He is several years younger than Bai Lin, and the two of them are close friends. When I was young, I could memorize all the books by listening to people recite them. When I was a little older, I learned to write poems and chapters. I thought I could achieve something without learning, but I regretted it. He carefully treated "Yi" and wrote "General Meanings of Dayi", "Collection of Genzhai Poems", etc. He composed a kind of miscellaneous drama, which is now lost. There are two sets of Sanqu that survive today, and one is a fragment. The Tianyi Pavilion version of "Lu Gui Bu" appends an elegy written by Jia Zhongming after its brief biography: "The Marquis of Shi is a friend of Mr. Gen, and he pays tribute to the old minister with poetry and wine. The flavor of 'Wan Si Rein' is 'Carved Saddle Ping', and he follows Wang and Sun "Yan Zi Lou" Mo Mo Quan Ying, "Huang Zhong" Qing, "Taihe Zhengyin Pu" is listed in "The writing style is not possible, it is true." Among the "masterpieces" of "Ci Lin Zhi Ying Jie".
