Over the sea of flowers on the other side of the mountain, Honggou Temple, which lives in a high place, is at the western end of the village.
Honggou Temple is named after Dahonggou. It is said that this Honggou Temple was built in the late Tang Dynasty, and the incense has been very prosperous. At the peak, more than 200 lamas practiced here. The famous historian Tuguan III Living Buddha once practiced in Honggou Temple. After his death, his spiritual position was enshrined in the clay embryo of the earth-watching Buddha in Honggou Temple, so this temple is also the only one in Gansu Province that focuses on the earth-watching Buddha.
In fact, many historical figures have been born within dozens of kilometers of Tianzhu Haxi and Madan, which are close to Dahonggou, making this land full of fairy tales and mysteries.
In the west of Madan, the third living Buddha (17 17- 1786) was born. There is a cypress tree on the site of the birthplace, which is called "the sacred tree of the Zhang family" locally and still exists today. At the age of 29, Zhang Jiaguo was promoted to emperor. After that, Emperor Qianlong, concubines in the harem, and princes all enjoyed enlightenment and were treated by monks. It can be said that the Zhangjia Living Buddha was the highest living Buddha in North Korea at that time.
On the hillside of a village called Chashan in Qilian Mountain, Haxi in the east excavated the tomb of Gu Hun in Tang Dynasty last year, and told people about the activities of the third son of Murong Nuo, the former king of Qinghai.
In fact, both the founder of Xixia and the empress Zuo of the second emperor came from the mysterious Musashi family. It is said that there are no Tibetan families, and they have lived in Dahonggou for generations.
All these give this Tibetan area an extremely mysterious label. On the other hand, the towering grinding navel mountain and the vast western prairie, like a stroke of genius, give this Tibetan area a faint, sweet and quiet fairyland scenery, which is intoxicating!
