Poetry of animals

1 Ode to the Goose

White swan, white swan, bend your neck and breathe fire into the sky.

White feathers, floating in green water; The red soles of the feet stir the clear water.

This is the work of Luo, one of the four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty, when he was seven years old. The repetition of the first three sounds in Goose is full of childish babbling, and the straightforward description of the image and action of Goose is very vivid. This is a poem that every generation of children grew up with them from babbling.

2, "Jueju" Du Fu

"Two orioles sing green willows, and egrets cover the sky."

My window framed the snow-covered western hills. My door often says "goodbye" to ships sailing eastward.

Two Huang Peng singing in the green willows, a line of egrets flying high in the blue sky. From the window, you can see the perennial snow on the western hills, and ships from Soochow thousands of miles away are parked in front of the door. After the Anshi Rebellion, Du Fu returned to Chengdu Caotang. At that time, his body and mind were relaxed, orioles sang on the Yang Liuzhi and egrets flew in the clear sky. Faced with this vibrant natural scene, he couldn't help writing this poem.

3. Du Fu, a lonely goose

A lone goose doesn't want to drink water, refuses to eat, just flies low and longs for its companion.

The geese disappear in the sea of clouds, who will pity the geese in the sky?

A lone goose doesn't eat or drink, and calls for its companion while flying. Who pities a lonely goose shadow on the horizon, lost in the clouds of Wan Li? Du Fu was ill in his later years, and his old friends were scattered and in a difficult situation. He was lonely and didn't know where to go, and his heart was full of frustration and sadness.
