On the Artistic Features of Gong Zizhen's Poems
Gong Zizhen (1August 22, 792-184 1 September 26,), a native of Renhe Ding 'an, was born in Yushantang, Kunshan in his later years, also known as Yushan. Thinker, poet, writer and reformist pioneer in Qing Dynasty. Liu Yazi praised Gong Zizhen's poems as "first-rate in 300 years". His poems advocated "changing the law" and "painting", which exposed the corruption of the rulers of the Qing Dynasty and was full of patriotic enthusiasm. Liang Qichao commented that "the whole country is calm, but if its generation is overwhelmed by danger, it will always point to the sky and plan the world."
