Philosophy in Su Shi's Poems

Stone wrote a poem "Qin Shi":

If the piano is hair, why don't you put it in the box?

If the piano sounds from your hands, why can't you hear the sound?

This poem has been ignored for a long time, but some people pay attention to it, but it is a reprimand. Ji Xiaolan, a talented scholar and literary critic in the Qing Dynasty, said: "These four sentences written casually are not poems, and those who search will get something." He even said in a questioning tone: "Is there such a style in poetry collections of past dynasties?" In Ji Xiaolan's view, there is no such thing as poetry. In fact, it is this "no such thing" that shows Su Shi's innovative spirit.

There is a Buddhist scripture called Yan Yan Jing, which says, "For example, pipa, harp and pipa all have beautiful sounds, but they can't be played without beautiful fingers." This passage brilliantly illustrates a philosophical truth: only the unity of subject and object can lead to success. Su Shi wrote it into poetry, and further, the sound of the piano did not come from the beautiful fingers, but from the heart, and the violinist was the voice. The unity of things and me is the best.

Let's look at the familiar title Xilin wall:

Looking at Lushan Mountain from the front and side of peaks and valleys, from far, near, high and low places, Lushan Mountain presents various faces.

I can't recognize the true face of Lushan Mountain because I am there.

This poem is original. I thought about it before, but I never said it, but Su Shi said it. To know how many things in the world are easier said than done. What some people think at the age of three may not be done at the age of sixty. From this point of view, Su Shi's poetry is a model of "discussion into poetry" and an innovation of Song poetry. This is the value of Su Shi's philosophy, or the credit of Su Shi. Tang poetry attaches importance to emotion, while Song poetry attaches importance to reason. Since you want to be reasonable, you should "put words into poetry", because poetry writes feelings and words make sense; Since you want to be reasonable, you have to "talk into poetry" because the reason is unclear. During the 700 years from Yan Yu in the Southern Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, many scholars criticized Song poetry for "writing poetry into poetry and discussing poetry into poetry", feeling that it was no longer poetic. Su Shi did the opposite and defended Song poetry with his own philosophical poems.

We might as well watch another song "Loneliness":

Suddenly the window was bright and clean in the afternoon, and I wanted to feel drunk and snore.

Looking back at the bleak place, rain or shine.

The "solitude" here implies Zen, which is a pun. In other words, as long as a person understands the world and his own heart, then he can handle the hardships of life safely and calmly. Here, let's copy a poem by Su Shi: Ding Fengbo.

On March 7th, it rained on Hu Sha Road, and rain gear came first. My colleagues are in a mess, I don't know. I've packed up and pretended to be like this.

Don't pay attention to the beating rain in the forest. Mei sings a long whistle and walks leisurely. Straw sandals are lighter than horses, who is afraid that a misty rain will last a lifetime.

The coolness of spring breeze awakens my wine, and the cold begins to be cold, and the peak of the sun is the sun, but it is satisfied in time. Looking back at the bleak place, rain or shine.

I wonder if you can understand.
