Psalm 69

(A) Thinking

1. Whose poem is this? To whom? What key do you use? Author's name or source note

(1) David's poem.

(2) to the director.

(3) called lily.

2. Why do poets pray? 1/3

(1) Because a lot of water will drown me. I am stuck in the deep mud and have no place to stand; I was in deep water and the flood flooded me.

(2) My throat is dry because I am sleepy from crying; My eyes are blind because I wait for God.

3. What environment did the poet say he met? The poet said to God? Why do poets call God? What does he want? 4/8

More people hate me for no reason than my hair; Those who are unreasonable enemies and want to break off relations with me are very powerful. I didn't rob it, so I have to return it.

God, you know my ignorance, and my sin can't be hidden.

(3) The supreme Lord of hosts.

(4) Please let those who are waiting for you not be ashamed of me; O God of Israel, do not put those who seek you to shame because of me. Because I was insulted for your sake, I was ashamed. My brothers regard me as a stranger and my compatriots regard me as a foreigner.

4. What did the poet say about me? 9/ 12

(1) Because I am anxious about your temple like a fire, and the insults that insult you people fall on me. I weep and afflict my heart with fasting, which is my shame. I took linen as my clothes, which became their joke. Those who sit at the door talk about me, and those who drink praise me.

5. When did the poet say to pray to God? What does he want? 13/ 15

But when I was accepted, I prayed to you, Lord.

Answer me, O God, according to your abundant lovingkindness and faithfulness of your salvation. Save me from the mud and don't let me get stuck in it; Deliver me from those who hate me and bring me out of the deep water. Please don't let the flood overflow me, don't let the deep swallow me up, and don't let the deep pit seal me up.

6. What does the poet ask of God? 16/ 18

Answer me, O LORD, for your lovingkindness is good. Turn to me according to your abundant compassion. Don't hide your face from your servant. I'm in trouble. Please answer me quickly. Come near to me and redeem me, for my enemies have redeemed me.

7. What does the poet say God knows? What sufferings did he encounter? 19/2 1

You know my insults, bullying and humiliation. All my enemies are in front of you. The abuse broke my heart and I was filled with sadness.

(2) I expect someone to be compassionate, but no one; I expected someone to comfort me, but I couldn't find it. They gave me bile as food; I was thirsty and they gave me vinegar to drink.

8. Summarize the poet's wishes in section 22/29.

May their banquet be a snare before them and a trap when they are at peace.

(2) May their eyes be blurred and invisible.

May you keep their waists trembling.

(4) May their dwellings become desolate; May their tents be uninhabited.

Add sin to their sins and don't let them be justified before you.

Let them be blotted out of the book of life and not recorded among the righteous.

9. What will a poet do to please God? What is better than this joy? 30/3 1

I will praise God's name with poetry and make him great with gratitude. This is God's will.

This is better than offering cows or bulls with horns and hooves.

10. How does the poet testify for the Lord? 32/33

Humble people are glad to see it. Those who seek God, may your hearts be revived. For the Lord listens to the needy and does not despise the prisoners.

1 1. What does the poet want? What's going on here? 34/36

Let heaven and earth, the sea and all the animals in it praise him.

For God will save Zion and build the cities of Judah. His people will live there and own it. The descendants of his servants will inherit it. People who love his name should also live in it.

(2) Application

This is a poem that predicts Christ, and we can find the correspondence between events and scriptures in the life story of Christ.

(1) Jesus said to his disciples before being executed:

Psalm 69:4→ J 15:25 This fulfilled what was written in their law, saying that they hated me without cause.

(2) what Jesus said when cleaning the temple:

Psalm 69:9→ John 2: 17 His disciples remembered that it was written, "My heart is burning with anxiety for your temple."

(3) What Jesus said when he was crucified:

It is 69:2 1→ about 19:28/29. After this, Jesus knew that everything was done, and in order to fulfill the scripture, he said, "I am thirsty." There is a container full of vinegar, and it is there. So they dipped a sponge in vinegar, tied it to hyssop and brought it to his mouth.
