It is said that he learned fencing as a teenager, and once broke into the enemy camp alone and took the head of the enemy general. In addition, Xin Qiji often shows his love and description of martial arts in his poems.
Although both Du Fu and Xin Qiji have some martial arts skills, it is uncertain whether they can use weapons like 18, because the concept of "weapons like 18" appeared after their time and was not clearly recorded in the literature.
